Online booking and Instagram for beauty professionals: clients book themselves
Nail technicians, brow artists, cosmetologists, hairdressers — in Batumi many start their own business after moving. There is plenty of hands-on work, but time goes on messages: “any free slots?”, “how much?”, “where are you?”. Technology takes this routine away.
What to set up first
- WhatsApp Business — a profile with address and hours, a service catalogue with prices, an automatic greeting and quick replies to frequent questions.
- Online booking — a link where the client chooses the service and time herself; a reminder the day before reduces no-shows.
- A Google Maps listing — so people find you for “nails near me”: address, photos of work, hours, reviews.
- Instagram — a clear bio, a booking link, pinned posts with prices and examples.
Photos of your work matter most
Clients choose with their eyes. The same light background, daylight or a simple lamp, close-up shots in one style — and the feed looks premium. Short before/after videos work even better.
Salon computers and software
If you have a salon, you need order: a computer at the reception, a shared booking calendar, a printer, guest Wi-Fi for clients, backups of the client base. The payment terminal and special equipment are set up by their supplier; computers, network and software are my part.
What not to do
- Don’t keep your client base only in your head and in chats — one lost phone and it is gone.
- Don’t post clients’ photos without their consent.
- Don’t buy fake followers or reviews — it shows and does harm.
