The most common issues
clients bring me
After 25 years in this trade, I've seen almost everything. Most issues get resolved the same day — software problems immediately, hardware issues after diagnosis.
Won't turn on / black screen
Most often it's a software issue: a corrupted bootloader, a partition problem. Sometimes it's hardware: RAM, graphics card. I find out exactly — not by guesswork.
Overheating and shutting off
Does the laptop switch off after 10–20 minutes of use? Dust in the cooling system and dried-out thermal paste. I clean it and replace the paste right at your home — takes 40–60 minutes.
Blue screen (BSOD)
The "blue screen of death" carries a specific error code that points to the cause. I read the log, identify the culprit — driver, RAM, disk — and fix it.
Data is always kept safe
Even when a laptop "won't turn on", the data can often be rescued. If the files are on the disk, I retrieve them before starting any repair.
