- Photos on your phone backed up automatically to the cloud.
Passwords and two-factor codes
- A password manager instead of one password for everything.
- Two-factor codes in an authenticator app — not only by SMS to a SIM you might lose.
- Recovery codes for email and key accounts, printed and kept in a safe place.
If a device is lost or stolen
- Find My iPhone / Find My Device switched on in advance.
- Disk encryption on the laptop, so the thief gets hardware, not your data.
- A written list: who to call, which cards to block, how to restore access.
