Employees are afraid of AI: how to talk to your team
Every team now has two extremes: some fear AI will replace them, others already secretly paste contracts and client correspondence into ChatGPT. Both problems are solved with one conversation and simple rules.
What employees feel
- “If AI does my job, why am I needed?”
- “If I admit I use AI, they’ll think I’m cutting corners.”
- “I won’t figure it out — so I’ll fall behind.”
How to start the conversation
- Say directly why you need AI: to remove routine (emails, descriptions, translations), not to cut people — if that is true.
- Show an example: one real team task done with AI in 5 minutes instead of an hour.
- Allow it openly: using it is allowed and encouraged — by the rules.
Team rules (one page)
- Which services are allowed and from which accounts.
- What must not be pasted: passports, contracts with personal data, passwords, clients’ financial data.
- Everything AI writes is checked by a person: numbers, names, laws.
- Texts for clients are sent in the employee’s name — they are responsible for them.
- For confidential data — a local model on an office computer.
Training without stress
Short 30–60 minute sessions on each person’s tasks: a manager — replies to clients, an accountant — tables and emails, an administrator — translations. Each person leaves with ready prompts for their own work. For every employee — the section “Technology without stress”.
How I help
I train teams right in the office, help write the rules for using AI and, if needed, install a local model that works without the internet. A lesson — from 50 ₾. AI for business →
FAQ
Questions and answers
Can we ban AI completely?
You can, but employees will still use it from personal phones — without rules or data protection. Honest rules are safer than a ban.
Which AI should an office choose?
Usually ChatGPT or Claude with work accounts, and a local model for sensitive data.
