Wired or Wi-Fi cameras

Wi-Fi cameras are easier to install — no cable to run, power often comes from a nearby standard outlet. They suit most home needs: watching the front door, the yard, a nursery, or pets.

Wired cameras (connected to a dedicated recorder) are more reliable — they don't depend on Wi-Fi stability and are harder to disable by simply cutting power to the camera. This is often the choice for shops, offices, or anyone wanting a serious multi-camera system.

What to look for when choosing

Resolution — for clearly recognising faces or licence plates, look for 1080p or higher; for basic general monitoring, lower resolution is fine.

Night vision — most cameras have infrared illumination for darkness, but the effective range varies noticeably between models.

Recording storage — cloud storage (a paid subscription, but convenient and reliable) or a memory card/local storage (no monthly fee, but if the device is stolen, the footage goes with it).

Weatherproofing for outdoor cameras — especially relevant for Batumi's humid climate; look for cameras rated IP65 or higher.

How installation works

For Wi-Fi cameras — we identify the best viewing angles, mount the brackets, connect to your home network, and set up the app for viewing from your phone.

For wired systems — cable routing needs planning (which overlaps with electrical work, so this service pairs naturally with my other services), plus installing the recorder and configuring recording.

In both cases I set up remote viewing on your phone, so you can check the cameras from anywhere with an internet connection.
