How to open a website studio in Batumi
I build websites for businesses in Batumi: an agency, a realtor, seaside apartments, my own project. The most important thing I have learned: local businesses need not a "beautiful website" but WhatsApp enquiries and a place in Google. That is what to build a studio on.
What websites are ordered
- A business card site with prices, photos and a WhatsApp button — for technicians, salons, cafés.
- A site for apartments and guesthouses — photos, rooms, booking by phone.
- A site for a realtor or agency — properties, districts, languages.
- A site with an admin panel where the owner changes texts and prices himself.
Languages are your advantage
Clients in Batumi are Georgians, Russian speakers, tourists from Turkey, Israel and Europe. A site in 2–3 languages with correct markup for Google brings noticeably more enquiries. This is what sets a studio apart from a template put together in an evening.
A portfolio from the first order
Without examples, clients do not believe you. Make 2–3 sites for friends or your own project and show them honestly, with links. My sites are in the "My websites" section of tariel.ge.
Technically
- Register hosting and domains in the client’s name, not yours: it is honest and leads to fewer disputes.
- Fast sites without unnecessary plugins — Batumi uses a lot of mobile internet.
- HTTPS, backups, a privacy policy if there are forms.
- Google Search Console and a Google Maps profile right at launch.
AI in a studio’s work
AI assistants speed up layout, texts and translations but do not replace checking: facts, prices and Georgian text must be proofread by a person. I build sites with the help of AI myself and check every page.
Support is stable income
A one-off site is one-off money. Support under contract — updates, edits, backups, SEO — is what keeps a studio going between orders.
