Case study: an international company website in 9 languages
A Batumi company works with developers, hotel owners and investors from the Gulf, Turkey, Central Asia and Europe. It needed a website on the level of those clients: premium in feel, clear to every partner in their own language, and simple enough for the team to publish news and events themselves. The site itself is in the "My websites" section.
The task
- A premium look for developers, hotel owners and investors — editorial style, large photos, plenty of space.
- The languages of partners from different countries, including right-to-left Arabic.
- The owner and an editor publish news, events and photos themselves — no developer needed.
- Partnership requests and material requests reach the team and do not get lost.
- A foundation for a future property catalogue — without rebuilding the site.
What was done
9 language versions
English by default, Russian, Georgian, Arabic, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and more. The language switcher with flags works even without JavaScript.
Right-to-left Arabic
A mirrored layout, dedicated fonts for Arabic, Georgian and Kazakh, and Arabic letters joining correctly.
Its own admin panel
News, events, gallery, ambassadors, page texts. Administrator and editor roles, an activity log.
No lost enquiries
Partnership and material request forms with spam protection and rate limits — messages go to the team.
SEO in every language
hreflang for all versions, Organization, Event and NewsArticle markup, a sitemap and llms.txt for AI search.
Fast photos
WebP in several sizes for phones and laptops, with EXIF and location data removed. Built iPhone-first.
Security
Passwords stored only as hashes, forms protected against forgery and password guessing, closed data folders, a backup before every change.
Room to grow
A property catalogue is already planned in the data structure; storage moves from files to MySQL without rewriting the site.
How it works
A light PHP 8 engine
No heavy frameworks — fast on ordinary hosting, with clear code that is easy to maintain.
Texts separate from code
Each language has its own set of texts. A new language is added without touching the engine.
Checks before every release
An automatic test opens every language version and checks login, editor permissions and missing translations.
A change log
Every change is recorded — the owner sees what was done and when.
What it gives the business
- A partner opens the site in their own language — trust from the first minute.
- The team publishes events and news itself — the site stays alive, not a "business card for years".
- Google and AI search engines see each language version separately.
- Enquiries reach the team straight away instead of getting lost in a shared inbox.
